Although single freelance writer Voula Pavlopolous does not currently have a steady boyfriend, she’s still pretty content with her life. In between finding the occasional new roommate, dining out with her best friend Jamie, and searching for work, Voula is pretty busy. If that’s true then why does her life all of a sudden seem so empty when Jaime announces that she and her husband are trying to have a baby.

Because it means that everyone is growing up besides her. Now, Voula’s going to change all that. She’s finally going to talk back to her Mom, and she’s also going to stop setting her standards so outrageously high and go out on more dates. And somehow in a city with three and a half million apartments for sale, Voula’s going to find a place to buy for her very own. Along the way, she’ll reunite with a long-lost sister, learn more about being pregnant than she ever wanted to know, and come out unscathed from an apartment fire with a handsome fireman in tow.

Ariella Papa’s Bundle of Joy will be a delightful addition to your book collection. It is a witty novel packed with winning characters who turn routine occurrences into highly entertaining productions. Papa is one of the most talented writers in the biz today. Who else could make reading about real estate so much fun?

Although Voula is someone you can’t help but like, Armando and Maureen are the stand out characters. Some of the things they say and do will have you rolling on the floor. This is one story you’ll be sharing with your best friends.
