When Colt Tanner looks out his office window to watch his brother showing off to another piece of fluff, he can’t stop himself from going out to “smack” his brother down. Elise isn’t the spoiled little rich girl Colt thinks her to be. She’s determined to pull her weight and learn everything she can about the ranch and her partner. When Colt’s old flame shows up and things start going wrong, Elise sets out to prove her worth to the one man who can turn her world upside down.

Once again, Ms. Michelle proves exactly why she is an auto-buy author for me. Her story telling is so intense that I have a vividly clear movie in my head while reading. I no longer sit outside of the story but rather inside, next to all the people. Elise should, by all accounts be a spoiled woman, but she refuses to allow her father and his money to control her. Instead, she depends on her brains to prove to herself that she is a worthy woman. Colt grudgingly comes to terms with Elise and their growing attraction. When all seems to be destined to fail, the love these two develop proves that love does conquer everything, including tragic pasts. I so enjoyed my short stay at the ranch and visit with two new friends and look forward to reading about Colt’s two (extremely desirable) brothers!
