Finally the last of the Sexy trilogy was in my hands and just waiting to be read. As it turns out I was reading Sinfully Sexy when Simply Sexy arrived. Needless to say as soon as I closed the cover on Chloe and Sterlingís story, I instantly picked up the new book to read about Julia and Benís story. I couldnít wait to see what Ms. Lee had in store for these two who went round and round in Sinfully Sexy.
Julia was having a hard time trying to adjust to all the changes in her life since her fatherís death. That included selling the station to Prescott Media and no longer being the station owner, but now just an employee. She must come up with a show to prove that she should be an employee for the station. Julia thought she needed a change as well. So what does one do who has always said what she thinks and worn sexy clothing? Try to curb her sexual appeal by going for the prim and proper look and not saying everything that she thinks. But Julia isnít so sure and tries her best to make herself over.
Of course Julia has Ben to contend with as well. He is now living in her house as a guest since he was shot, and Sterling and Chloe have finally left for their honeymoon. So Julia must take care of Ben as well, and the attraction the two of them have been feeling for one another since they first set eyes on each other is just another wrench thrown in that she must contend with. And how they both contend with the attraction is something else.
Both Julia and Ben have fears and concerns they are trying to work through without the help of anyone. When they face them together and work them out, they can see a little light at the end of the tunnel that starts to get brighter a little each day. Every day isnít a picnic, and they are thrown some curve balls that they must overcome both personal and professional.
Julia is "simply sexy" in each and everything that she does and how she acts; it is just her. We canít forget that Ben is there to help her, and Julia is there to help Ben fight his demons. This story will leave you smiling and feeling for both Julia and Ben. You can see the hurt and pain in each of them when they donít think anyone else can. Ms. Lee does a wonderful job with letting us see how each of them feels.
Iím sorry to see the end of the Sexy trilogy. Each story was unique in each and everyway. Ms. Lee did a wonderful job of giving each heroine the perfect hero and in describing the struggles they went through before they finally admitted their love for one another. Julia and Benís story was no exception. If you havenít read this trilogy, you really donít know what you are missing. From the very beginning you are drawn into each of their lives and cheering the three friends on when they finally find the ones they love.
