Cullen Pulaski is part of a consortium in negotiations with China to form a trade agreement that will greatly benefit the US. When other members of the consortium begin to die, Cullen thinks it is much more than just coincidence. Fearing that the members are being murdered to stop the venture, Cullen puts together a team of experts to investigate his suspicions.

Key members of the team of experts are FBI profiler, Madison Harper, who also happens to be Cullenís goddaughter, and Gabriel Roarke a top CIA operative who has a past with Cullen as well. Madison brings computer expert Harrison Blake on board and Gabriel taps his friends Payton Reynolds and Nigel Ferris to join the team. Cullen wants Madison and Roarke to jointly be in charge of the team of investigators and neither is too keen on sharing lead member duties. When other members of the consortium suddenly die, the two must put aside their differences and work together to find out what is behind all these deaths.

As the team searches for clues, they begin to find more questions than answers and the body count continues to mount. Will they be able to find the answers before the killer accomplishes his agenda?

Dee Davis is fast making a name for herself as one of the premier writers of romantic suspense today. Her books grab you from the first page and donít let go. With each new book Ms Davis hones her craft and the outcome is a story that has the reader spellbound and caught up in her latest creation.

Endgame is the first of a trilogy featuring this team of specialists and Ms Davis has done a splendid job of creating compelling characters and a plot that will have her readers glued to their seats. She throws in a few twists that had this reader surprised and reading passages twice to make sure I got it right.

Ms Davis adds just the right amount of romance to keep things interesting between main players Madison and Gabriel. Their intimate scenes sizzle and leave the reader pulling for them to find their happy ending.

Ms Davis has done a splendid job of setting up the next story in this series, Enigma available in June 2005. Mark you calendars and be prepared for another suspenseful tale from this very talented author. This series has all the elements to be one of the best of the year and you wonít want to miss it.
