Victorious Star Interstellar Service and Discipline by Morgan Hawke is one of the most fascinating and unconventional books I’ve read in a long time!

Victoria Stark AKA The Victorious Star is a Senior Imperial Navigations Pilot and a First Lieutenant. She has a reputation for saving the ships she’s on and sacrificing the captains. One such incident has her dropped off at a space station, awaiting re-assignment. While there, she encounters the Nav-Pilot of a mercenary ship that she out-smarted in battle and he wants revenge! After eliminating the man, she comes face to face with the captain of the mercenary ship, Captain Aubrey Ravnos. After talking for a while, Captain Ravnos invites Victoria to serve on his ship while she’s waiting for her new assignment. She refuses but is kidnapped for an important mission for the Hellsbreath.

Little does she know what awaits her on the mercenary ship, Hellsbreath. She’s instructed to wear a uniform that the Captain has chosen for her, which she defies him on and suffers the consequences. Ravnos is a Dominant who expects to be obeyed. His forms of punishment are most unusual indeed, as his Executive Officer Seht is a skeldhi prince in charge of discipline. Ravnos, Seht and Victoria form a ménage a trios. At first Victoria doesn’t understand why she is enjoying herself when she shouldn’t but she then learns something about the two men in her life and herself.

The mission is very dangerous involving evil Imperium personnel and part of Seht’s family. Ravnos can’t go along because of the possibility of being recognized by the Imperium. Thus begins a truly remarkable journey for a woman who, at first, only wants what’s best for the Imperium.

Morgan Hawke creates a world of passion between these three people and the reader has no choice but to go along for the wild ride!!! This somewhat dark, yet engrossing book isn’t for everyone but if you like hot, spicy unconventional romance, then this is THE book to buy. I highly recommend it.

I can’t help wondering what’s next for this author, but I can’t wait to find out!.
