At 25, Miss Jane Ravenwood considers herself a spinster. Agreeing to be sponsored by her aunt, the Dowager Countess of Stockmorton, is a small inconvenience if it will please her beloved father. However, there are conditions attached. Jane is not allowed to mention that she is Welsh, an heiress, or that her father is in trade. In short, Jane must not be herself, under any circumstances!

Richard Hughes, the Marquess of Blackmore, has been escorting Jane’s cousin Charlotte. Everyone believes that he will be making her his wife before the season is over. Charlotte and Richard are the only ones who know the truth about their relationship. As a Foreign Service officer, Richard casts a jaundiced eye over Miss Ravenwood, and believes that she is hiding something. With all of his intuition on alert, he sets out to prove that there is a nefarious scheme afoot. He is going to discover what such An Enchanting Minx is concealing from polite society.

Author Sharon Stancavage has written a lively romp in this fast-paced book. The cast of characters is memorable, and the dialog is charming. As Jane and Richard encounter plenty of obstacles in the path to love, they are handled with a light touch. This is a book filled with wit and humor.

If you are looking for a quick read that will entertain you, An Enchanting Minx is sure to please.
