”Wicked” Women on Top is a terrific anthology with three authors that I’ve never read before; Tina Donahue, Jen Nicholas and Jordan Summers, but I plan to remedy that situation as soon as possible. I’ll be checking out the backlist of each author.

Let the Games Begin by Tina Donahue introduces us to Tiffany Taylor and Nick Marlow. Tiffany is the daughter of Nick’s partner, who has just retired and given Tiffany controlling interest in the casino. Nick is in charge of all gaming in the casino and Tiffany hasn’t the foggiest idea about gaming. She was hoping Nick would help her with that but one thing leads to another and they make a wager and well, you’re going to have to read it to find out what happens! I enjoyed this story because the sexual tension between Nick and Tiffany was HOT!!

Not Another Fairytale by Jen Nicholas may have been my favorite story in this anthology. I love the LOL moments that this story gives us! Allison Dare is a freelance writer who has landed an assignment with a magazine. She’s to write an article highlighting the joys of living and loving with your soul mate. Major problem is Allison hasn’t been in a relationship in over a year and the last “prince” turned out to be a “frog”. As she’s struggling to write this article, there’s a knock at the door. She doesn’t want or need the interruption – that is, until she opens the door and finds a gorgeous man. Beat up and claiming he’d “almost been raped” by some woman, who is this man and how did he get to her apartment and where had he been her whole life?? Little does she know that he’s J. T. Freedom who lives across the hall from her and has lusted after her for months! Allison wants to believe that J. T. is her “prince” but she’s so unsure. J. T. knows he’s her “prince” and will not take “No” for an answer! What happens between J. T. and Allison is most interesting. What happens next? Again we have very hot sexual tension plus some comedic moments that will have you either LOL or snickering. Great Job, Ms. Nicholas.

Private Investigations by Jordan Summers gives us Brandon Walker, attorney at law, and the best friend of Cara Martin’s brother, Granger. Cara has been in love with Brandon for forever, it seems like, and he only sees her as Granger’s baby sister. Cara is a private investigator in Granger’s company and she’s investigating William Cavanaugh, an attorney that works with Brandon, for fraud and a few other charges. Cavanaugh has actually worked with Brandon on a couple of cases together. Cara has an elderly client who believes that Cavanaugh is stealing from her. Cara’s payment for this case is ……in cookies! Brandon and Cara’s “re-introduction” to each other brings very strong feeling to the surface and some very real conflicts. How will they work though them?

I enjoyed this because the authors’ stories are all very different and yet satisfying. I truly recommend this read by these very talented authors!
