Mistletoe and Mayhem is an anthology written by Christie Ridgeway, Katherine Hall-Page, Judi McCoy and Joanne Pence.
Out On a Limb by Christie Ridgeway is about Stacy Banks, a kindergarten teacher who goes ‘out on a limb’ when she tracks down Ryan, her sexy neighbor, for a date to a Christmas party. She gets the date, plus much more than she ever imagined!! What an adventure!!!
The Two Marys by Katherine Hall-Page is NOT a romance. However, it is a good mystery. Mary Bethany discovers a surprise in her barn on Christmas Eve…. a baby in a basket with a few clothes, some supplies and fifty thousand dollars!!! Since Mary has no idea what to do, she calls her neighbor, Faith Fairchild. The clues pop up and between Mary and Faith, they solve the mystery!
Judi McCoy’s The Twelve Frogs of Christmas is the story of jewelry designer Claire St. Germaine and Dr. Hugh Burton, biology professor and specializing in frogs. Claire and Hugh each own half of their duplex and have never met. When Hugh notices the numerous frogs into and men out of Claire’s duplex, he decides he has to meet her if only to ask about the frogs! One of Claire’s relatives is responsible for sending the frogs her way and she needs to get it stopped, because she’s tired of having to kiss them and having them turn back into men!!
Joanne Pense, The Thirteenth Santa is another novella that is NOT a romance. Rebecca Mayfield is a San Francisco Homicide Inspector, working over the Christmas holidays. She is trying to solve the death of a Santa Claus found on Christmas Eve in a shopping mall parking lot. She gets help from an unexpected source and has an adventuresome Christmas Eve.
Mistletoe and Mayhem is a fun anthology, with some nice stories set at Christmas. I found the writing to be a bit choppy and confusing in spots, but overall, a decent read!
