Exposed is the third title in the continuing Athena series within the Bombshell line. We meet reporter Victoria Patton a former Athena student. Tory has just been handed the story of a lifetime when she is invited to Puerto Isla in Central America to interview Commander Thomas King, Navy SEAL and the lone survivor of a failed rescue mission. King was presumed dead along with the rest of his buddies but it has just been learned that Puerto Isla rebels instead held him prisoner for the past six months.

Arrangements are made and Tory and her cameraman head to Puerto Isla to report on this exclusive story and capture the interview of a lifetime. Upon arrival on the island though all doors are slammed in Tory’s face. The interview offer has been mysteriously withdrawn and no one seems to be talking about the incident.

Priding herself on her investigative skills Tory doesn’t intend to return to the US without her story. She soon runs into Ben Forsythe, the jet setting playboy brother of her best friend from the Athena academy Alex.

It soon becomes clear that someone doesn’t want Tory checking into the circumstances surrounding Tom King’s ambush and subsequent rescue. Tory soon finds herself dodging bullets and running for cover. She soon finds herself seeking help from some very surprising sources.

Katherine Garbera has done a marvelous job with her first Bombshell release. Exposed is a fast paced exciting story that will keep the reader glued to her seat turning pages. The danger feels very real and the reader can almost feel the bullets zooming by as Troy runs for her life on several occasions.

The secondary story involving the Athena Academy is further explored in this book and the reader is provided with a few more pieces to that puzzle. Although Exposed is part on the continuing Athena line it is very much a stand-alone book and you will be satisfied with this story even if you have not read the previous stories in the line. Exposed is also defiantly a romance and that aspect is written quite well by Ms Garbera.

To sum things up if you like action packed stories with memorable characters and an exciting romance then Exposed will fit the bill nicely. It is hoped that Ms Garbera will write more books for this exciting new line as this reader feels she combined all the elements to make a very exciting reading experience and I look forward to similar books by this author in the future.
