When school teacher Rowan finds herself out of work, due to cut backs, she learns one way to supplement her income is by offering 1-900-LOVER. Rowan is able to make ends meet and do the things she loves like gardening. If a call comes in from someone that appears to be a minor, she tells them to call back when they are older. Rowan also records all conversations that take place.

Across town Will's cell phone rings. He owns and operates Foster`s Landscape Design. It seems that his Mother is very concerned about numerous phone calls to 1-900-LOVER. Will has no idea what she is speaking of, but with a little bit of digging, he figures it to be his nephew. A phone call here and there, Will finds out who is operating this business.

When Rowan and Will meet, they find that they are attracted to each other. How long before they take things one step further? Will Will's nephew figure out who Rowan is?

Rhoda Nelson kept me wondering what would happen next. It was a tender romance with a twist of humor. There are times though that you will find yourself laughing out loud, so you may not want to read it in public, but it is a must read. I enjoyed this book so much that I couldn't go to sleep until I had finished reading it. So on my shelf it shall stay for it is one I will read again and again.
