Belle loved being a Tooth Fairy. Unfortunately, she is forced on hiatus because of money trouble. Being out of money to leave under children’s pillows is a serious problem for a Tooth Fairy. To make ends meet, Belle takes on a new job. She pretends to be European royalty in exchange for pay. All is going well until her employer’s son decides to save his mother from the gold-digging Belle.

Millionaire Boone Wentworth has been burned once before by a fortune hunter. There was no way he would step back and allow his mother to be taken for all she’s worth. Without giving it much thought, Boone kidnaps Belle. He takes her to his farm where he lives, hiding his failing health from his mother. Boone thinks he is dying. He has no idea he is turning into a fairy-killing Bogeyman.

Feelings begin to change as well during their stay at the farm. Boone and Belle start to fall in love. However, Boone does not want to mislead Belle into believing they can have a future together. He doesn’t want to leave behind two women mourning his passing.

Sleep Tight is a heart-wrenching read. At times funny, at times sad, this tale is filled the wonderment of love. Author Laura Marie Altom has a whimsical imagination and a gift for spinning tales. The plot is fast-paced without feeling hurried. The conflict is given a clever twist that leaves the reader asking how love prevails. But prevail it does, after all, what’s a fairytale without the happily ever after ending?
