Kathryn Shay takes us back to Hidden Cove for the final book in her trilogy and what a finale it is! Nothing More To Lose is a winner!!

Ian Woodward was a firefighter who ultimately lost the use of his legs due to injuries sustained on 9/11. His sense of self-worth is nil but teaching at the Hidden Cove Fire Academy and running into Lisle Loring again, after he blew her off the first time, has helped tremendously. Lisle Loring is a star that has taken a leave of absence from the stage due to medical problems but the main reason she’s left Broadway is she has a stalker. She also fell for Ian the first time they met but when she declared her love, Ian panicked and fled after saying some very nasty things.

Ricardo “Rick” Ruscio is a disgraced ex-cop who got off with community services by “exposing” the bad guy to the police. However, his community service is to be served in a daycare center. Faith McPherson, minister’s daughter, is the teacher that Rick must report to. Faith’s upbringing allows her to believe there is good in everyone and Rick feels he is no good, that God has “forgotten his family”, based on his upbringing and “crimes”. Rick is a man who cannot forgive himself and can’t understand how someone, especially Faith, could see him as a good man.

Lisle’s stalker brings these characters together – Ian, as her next-door neighbor, knows what’s going on but because he blew Lisle off a second time, can’t really get close enough to help. Rick is the bodyguard that’s been hired to protect her, while trying to deal with his dysfunctional family and Faith. The stalker gets closer to Lisle, even getting into her condo and using her make-up and trying on her clothes! When she starts threatening Ian, Lisle is afraid the stalker will drive Ian away.

Does the stalker send Ian running? What happens with Rick and Faith? Who’s stalking Lisle and why? You’ll have to read this fantastic book to find out the answers.

Kathryn Shay gives us another winner! It was really great to be able to visit Hidden Cove again and see how everyone is doing! This is truly a book you must read! I highly recommend it!
