Taggart Morgan II is trying to straighten up his fatherís affairs. He and his brothers have not had a close relationship with their father and donít necessarily share any pride in the family name. When his father passed away, he left the home and a closed box with other information to Tag. In the closed box, it comes to light that his father owns and financially supports a castle. The castle is part of the family heritage and is called Ballentrae. Drawn to the letters inside the box, Tag must meet Maura in person, the woman who orchestrated his fatherís involvement in this project.
Maura has not had a particularly pleasant day, first she finds her best friend in her bed with her lover and now she is stuck in a snow storm. When Tag comes along there is an instant attraction and sparks fly. After one night together she flees, then she can't believe how shocked she is to find him on her front porch looking for her, the next day. That shock is nothing compared to what she feels when she finds out the handsome stranger is none other than the Morgan son. The man whose financial backing she literally depends on.
This story is a continuation of the Morgan's and their legacy. However, though brief mention is made of all the brothers, this one really does focus only on Tag and Maura. Their story is one of love at first sight. Or was that lust?
If you are looking for a book full of hot, steamy sexual encounters then you will enjoy this story. But the story line and any degree of real conflict is lacking in this one. The only tension is sexual. And while the sexual scenes are intense and pull the reader in, they arenít quite enough to make up for the lack of plot and action.
