Dallas Fielding has been hurt by her ex-fiancée. When the newcomer to town, Matt Stone, assumes she is a male doctor, she decides to play along with his assumptions. Things get complicated when he discovers a female sleeping in the vet’s office. Having to play duel roles plays with her emotions as she begins to fall for Matt.

Matt made it clear to Dee that the one thing he valued in a relationship above all else was honesty. When an accident makes it clear to him that the woman he proposed to has been lying to him all along about her gender he is furious. Will he be able to get past her betrayal?

Overall, this story lacked a motivating page-turning plot. The plot was simplistic and nothing kept the reader intrigued. Right from the start the reader learns everything about the characters and there was little to no action going on to keep the reader guessing. The sentences were short and unstructured and this novel was not compelling. The size of a category romance, there was not enough meat in the soup to make it stick around in your mind.
