Leah is disgusted with herself for her weight. Deciding in a fit of fury to take the matter into her own hands, she then has to figure out the best way to go about it. Finally, she reaches for the phone book determined to hire a personal trainer.
Erik arrives on Leah’s doorstep not sure what to expect but shocked to find he’s attracted to the woman. As the two begin to forge an intense sexual relationship, they also spend some time talking and falling in love. There’s just one teeny tiny problem, Leah is a vampire and Erik’s not.
Between the bouts of unadultered lust and steam, any reader that chooses this story will undoubtedly be doing their best not to laugh out loud. Especially if there are others in the room to give you that “what is so funny” look. Don’t tuck this one in the purse to read at the doctor’s office.
This having been my first read by Dakota Cassidy, I will definitely want to read more. This author has no problem telling it like it is. She doesn’t hold back on the sarcasm or humor in her characters and this makes them real to the reader. With witty dialogue and strong thought processes Leah all but jumps off the page and onto your shoulder. Whether she is the angel or demon sitting there is still to be determined.
