Twenty-one of today's best female authors from the US and UK have come together and donated stories to Girls' Night In . This book ,and its predecessors in the UK, are using the proceeds to benefit War Child charity. This organization helps children in war torn areas of the world in a variety of ways. In buying this book, you will not only provide yourself with hours of entertainment, but you will help a worthy cause. As an added bonus, there is a short blurb that prefaces each story with back lists of the authors' work and previews of coming releases of both new books and previous books being made into movies or TV shows. You get the scoop on all your favorite "chick-lit" writers and may be introduced to some new to you.

The collection begins with "Party Planner" a hilarious tale told in Meg Cabot's signature email style. You may never look at holiday parties in the same light. Jennifer Weiner gives a glimpse at one of her characters from Good In Bed from a different point of view in the story "Good Men". Jill A. Davis has a scathingly humorous take on getting ahead in New York and dealing with "the Elizabeths" in the aptly titled "New York".

The women in these stories must deal with the issues that we all have or will deal with at some time: growing up, moving on and even learning that revenge can be sweet. This is a book to savor, so grab your favorite beverage and find a cozy place to read and enjoy your own Girls' Night In .
