Are you wanting a quick summer getaway, but don’t have time or money to plan the getaway of your dreams, then I suggest you join Nick and Kate on their weekend adventure in What’s Love Got To Do With It?
They’ve been enjoying a relationship for several months, but haven’t ever consummated that relationship. Now they’re finally ready to do so. They’re planning a weekend getaway, and both are expecting it be a wonderful wild weekend of sex with no real strings attached. They’re not looking to escalate their relationship to another level, just to ease the tensions of their bodies.
Once they arrive at the weekend destination, Nick wants to delay dinner and just feast on Kate, but Kate insists on dinner. As the weekend progresses, the couple do feast on each other and both are feeling totally sated. However; each is beginning to feel a shift in the relationship that neither was expecting nor totally wanting.
Declarations of love do not come easy for either Nick or Kate, but they do admit that they’ve never felt this way before. There are not many of us who can say the path of true love runs smooth. It does not for Nick and Kate either. An ideal weekend must end, and the reality of life back home intrudes.
At home Kate is dealing with a total unexpected consequence of the weekend away, and is think Nick used her because she has no contact from him for three weeks. When the missing Nick finally shows up at her doorstep she does not want to hear what he has to say. However, Nick like many heroes won’t go away without an argument.
What’s Love Got To Do With It? was my first read by Susie Charles. I’ve become an e-book addict, and find that I personally enjoy the ones where the characters have some sort of background before jumping into bed. Ms. Charles did an excellent job of establishing a relationship between Nick and Kate and showing how they were attracted to each other to the point where they wanted their first time together to be special.
It’s only fair to warn you that there is one scene of very light bondage in What’s Love Got To Do With It? I would not rate this book as steamy, but it does have a warmer tone. I do not think you’ll be disappointed should you choose to add this book to your TBR list.
