Karinda Michaels just got a new job at a Law Firm and has already been offered a paid 2 week vacation. She retreats to the scenic Tennessee Mountains, to a cabin resort called Razor's Edge. Not once does she suspect that her life is about to change drastically --- and lead her on a race for her very survival. When she and her dog, Frog, are out walking one morning, they are suddenly shot at, and consequently end up right into the protective arms of the resort owner, Razor Edgeton. Neither know the reason why they now have killers on their trail, but they make a run for it.

Luckily for Karinda, Razor has extensive military training and honed survival skills, and he keeps them ahead of the killers as they race through the rugged terrain of the mountains.

Help comes from several different sources, intriguing friends of Razor's, Reb and Gemme. Racing against time, Karinda and Razor finally face a showdown with the killers and learn the surprising reason behind the death threat.

During their flight to safety, Karinda and Razor find themselves very attracted to each other and have a hard time fighting those feelings. In the end, they come to realize they're attraction isn't based soley on the experience they were sharing, but is real and permanent.
