After reading 7 Days & 7 Nights I knew I would enjoy Leave It To Cleavage. And enjoy it I did. Who wouldn't with a title like that? The story line is fairly simple as well, maybe a twist here or there, but take one woman who found a picture of her husband dressed in womenís lingerie and an empty closet and there the story begins.
Miranda is a little upset to say the least. The picture she found had a woman with Tom but the womanís face wasnít there, the only thing she had to go by was a manicured hand. Off she goes to try to find Tom but he isnít anywhere so she must pick up the pieces and quickly as she now has a company to run, the very lingerie company that Tom was modeling in the picture.
Of course, Miranda finds out that things are not all peachy with the company or her finances either. Seems that Tom had been taking money from the company for his getaway and hiding it pretty well from everyone. When he turns up missing, it is up to Miranda to save the company that has been in her family for generations.
Blake Summers, Chief of Police, rolls into the picture after he receives a tip that Tom is missing. But he canít find out the details, since Miranda hasnít filed a missing persons report yet. So he decides to follow her whenever he gets the chance and does a little investigation on his own.
Now we have Miranda trying to keep Tomís disappearance a secret and Blake trying to find out that happened to him. It is comical to say the least when Miranda stops and tells him where she is going, (now remember this is a small town so nothing is a secret for long).
Miranda and Blake are attracted to each other from the beginning but nothing happens and they try to avoid being in the same room together so that nothing will happen. Miranda canít believe she is attracted to him with everything going on in her life at the moment. Then Blakeís daughter gets into the action as she throws them together more than usual.
Leave It To Cleavage is a hilarious, sexy story with a woman looking for a way to survive after her husband leaves; finding a way to make the company float and of course trying to find the woman in the picture by just her manicure. If you are looking to escape for a little while then pick up this latest offering by Wendy Wax and be prepared to smile and feel a tug at your heartstrings when all is said and done. Donít forget that Blake is a police officer and he has a few tricks up his sleeve as well.
