Jack Wolfe is grieving over the loss of his son Connor. He blames himself for the child`s death. What hurts even worse is that Connor`s mother wanted nothing to do with him when he was born. Jack decides to do something about it, but he needs to get to Ireland to do it.

When in Ireland, he stays at Kaite`s, his auntís house. It is there he meets Cala McCoy. They are both attracted to each other. Unfortunately, there is evil around them, trying to pull them apart. Will their love survive this evil?

Michael is Jack`s cousin and he knows about the evil. He wants to become the head of the clan, but he also wants Cala. Michael and Jack can`t stand each other. Will Michael be able to unleash the horrible evil that is hovering overhead? Will Jack be able to stop him in time?

Will the good or the evil be in control? This has been the eternal question down through the ages. This is a well-written, worth while read. If you are into Ireland and all of its mystery, then The Dark Plain is for you.
