Itís been over fifteen years since Libba left behind the boy she supposedly loved and took off with a traveling actor. Years later, with a degree in biology and a fifteen year old daughter, she realizes that it wasnít the wisest decision she ever made. However, she comes from a long line of proud people. That same pride has kept her in California all these years. An unexpected phone call from her father telling her that her mother is very ill, is enough reason to toss her excuses out the window, pack up her reluctant daughter and head home.

Libba isnít the only one who has made her way home this summer. Russ Hennessey, the same boy whose heart she broke all those years ago is planning to come back home permanently as he tries to reestablish the family fishing business. Plans that seem to keep being sabotaged over and over again.

Russ is quick to forgive the young Libba and ready to see if this time she is ready to settle down and finish the romance they started all those years ago. Libba, on the other hand, is having great difficulty fighting her growing feelings for Russ. Between trying to reconnect with her family, convincing her daughter not to catch the next flight home to California, and her daddy, Libba has her hands full.

Jeanette Bakerís newest book has a setting that is not too far from home for this Virginia girl. Anyone who loves beach books that are really set on the shore will want to make this their next read. Even if the air here is getting colder by the day, this book will take you back to warm days on the water with seagulls flying overhead and the local fisherman off in the distance ready to pull in the days catch. So dig out the beach chair and settle in for a great reunion romance mixed in with just a touch of danger and suspense.
