Ravyn Verdier is the communications specialist on the exploration team sent to Jarved Nine to test the possibility that it may be colonized. The team of twenty is to spend some time on the planet and evaluate the possibility that it is able to house people for an extended amount of time. One night during the project something goes terribly wrong and all the team except Ravyn are viciously murdered.

A rescue signal goes out from Jarved Nine indicating the exploration team stationed there needs help. Spec Ops commander Daman Brody and his team of men arrive on the planet to find Ravyn the lone survivor and the other members of the team savagely mutilated by some unknown source. Soon the six members of the rescue team are brutally murdered as well leaving Damon and Ravyn as the lone survivors.

Damon vows to protect Ravyn and soon the two are making their way across the planet to an ancient abandoned city. These two strangers must learn to trust one another because their lives latterly depend on it.

With her debut novel Patti O’Shea comes blazing into the world of futuristic romance and creates a story that is utterly amazing. Her characters are key to her story as they are very likeable and readers will be able to easily identify with them. Ms. O’Shea has created an intensely emotional tale that will have her readers riveted to their seats. I could not put this book down and found myself up way past my bedtime engrossed in this exceptional tale. Ms. O’Shea is a fascinating new talent and I look forward to many more memorable tales from this up and coming author. Ravyn’s Flight proved to be a pleasant discovery and has earned the author a place on my auto buy list.
