American actress Laura Lancaster has just found herself without a job. The theatre she has been working at has suddenly closed down and she is penniless and without work. When faced with the decision of starving or the degrading prospect of becoming a wealthy man’s mistress, she must make the decision that will change her life forever.

Julian Norcliff, Earl of Lockwood is not new to scandal. His wife has been nothing but one scandal after another since the day they were married. After sending her into exile after her last scrape with scandal, Julian finds himself in a bit of a predicament. There are rumors going about the ton that he is having an affair with none other than…his secretary, Malcolm. In order to squelch this rumor, he must need to find a woman to portray as his mistress. Of course it will be in name only, he will not be bedding this woman, but just show her off enough to kill these rumors that could so damage his place in Parliament.

Neither Laura nor Julian ever imagined that their arrangement would become a love so real and strong, that it could very well destroy both of them. Murder, treason and deceit are around every corner and before they can ever have a future together, then must unravel these mysteries and solve them once and for all.

Until You’re Mine started off a little slow, but picked up pace as the story unfolded. There are a couple of slow spots toward the middle of the book, but it picks up speed again and races towards the end. The main characters are very well written and the secondary characters add life and body to the story. The mystery involved within the story is quite remarkable, and I must say, I had no idea of ‘who done it’, until the villain was finally revealed.

If you enjoy a good mystery with your romance, then this book is for you.
