Itís Not You Itís Me, is an eagerly awaited RDI release. It first was a story introduced to readers as No Beer In Hawaii, in twelve installments as an online serial. Now it can be found bound in stores for all to read and enjoy.
Who wouldnít want to hang out with their own personal rock star? Life hasnít been easy for Charlotte Notting and so she is presented with a ticket to Europe. On the flight there she meets the guy sheís been trying to avoid and to forget. Once her flat mate and her one unsuccessful one-night-stand, Jasper Ash is now a world famous rock star and looking for some time off in Europe.
A talk is in order. About that one night, about his Itís NotYou Itís Me. But first itís a bus trip to Munich and the Oktoberfest, accompanied by the Beer-drinking Society and of course her own personal sex God. Trips to Europe have always been part of growing up, a rite of passage, and a way to prepare for adulthood. And so itís no surprise that Charlie and Jules discover and experience more than they could have wished for. When not on the run from overeager groupies, the media or those nasty butt pinching Oktoberfest tourist they learn to look closer, to dig deeper and to fall in love.
Allison Rushbyís writing voice I like, itís witty, itís crisp and clear. Never messy, nor cute. Itís Australian. The beginning might be a little slow due to the extensive flashback, but once Charlie and Jules hit Europe the story keeps moving swiftly. And even though itís a chick lit kinda book, itís got enough of a sizzle. Sex, booze and a hangover. Not in that order. And with dirndls, chocolate and karaoke and a hero and heroine that are perfect for each other Itís Not You Itís Me is bound to be fun. Promise!
