In the world of professional hockey, winning is everything. But if youíre a woman on the verge of losing everything, youíll do what it takes to keep the team you love. Even make a deal with the man you hate.

Kristen DuChein knows she only has one shot at keeping her team afloat. After the awful scandal about her husband and his subsequent death, she finds the only thing that keeps her going is the minor league hockey team that she is the general manager of. But the owner wants to move them. She canít let that happen and she will do anything to keep the team. Even go to the owner and beg.

Brian Corrigan has been waiting for this moment for many years. He knows that he holds all the cards when it comes to deciding the fate of Kristenís team. The hand he wants to play deals with revenge and having total control of her life. He wants to find out just how far Kristen will go to make her team a success.

Revenge can be a scary thing. Brianís need to dominate Kristen doesnít make him very likable. While he does redeem himself slightly in the end, he still remains a rather cold character. Kristen is a strong woman intent on making a life for herself after the tragedy of her marriage. The plot moves at a steady pace. The hockey games make for an interesting backdrop to the story.
