Children’s author Abby Flannigan is a gifted storyteller whose talents are finally being recognized. Abby’s gifts extend into other realms as well. She is a powerful clairvoyant; she dreams of future events. She had always struggled to control her clairvoyance but once her grandmother gave her a diary that had belonged to her great-great-grandmother Bridgette O’Holloran things changed. Even more extraordinary Abby is able to affect the way future events play out. When Abby discovers she has a connection to the murderer leaving his calling card on women in her small-town, she is determined to stop him.

Jake Kelly thought he had left the brutality and the ugliness of being a homicide detective behind when he left Miami, but when a brutal killer comes to Dolphin Bay it will take more than just his experience and skill as a detective to stop the killing. He will need Abby. Will he have the strength to put the woman he has come to love in the path of a killer? Or has Abby been the target all along?

First time author Anita M. Whiting blew me away with Irish Magic. In spite of a couple of inconsistencies, the story was well paced and absorbing. She presents a neat little twist on the psychic crime fighter theme that I found fascinating and well worth the read.
