Sarah is hired to help Brandon as he is confined to a wheelchair as a result of a car accident and needs help. When romance starts developing between the two of them, problems begin to arise. Sarah has invested a lot of time avoiding men and serious relationships. Her life hasnít been filled with all prettiness and besides, how will Brandon react when he finds out just what is buried in her past?
Brandon has spent most of his life being controlled by his father. His father even hired Sarah and then put himself in the middle of their affair from day one. He had only hired her to make Brandonís fiancťe, Stacy jealous.
The author writes interesting characters that are very well developed. Even the secondary characters, such as the quiet Elizabeth, controlling Austin, and witchy girlfriend Stacy are seen clearly by the reader. However, the plot and drama revolves a tad slow. The story will keep you engrossed just to see how each character will react to things, and interact with one another. Sarah really comes across as a meek and mild heroine, with Brandon playing the role of parent pleaser to a hilt. Can these two find their way past all these stumbling blocks? Itís interesting to see their assertive sides come into play.
This will enliven any Saturday afternoon and those that like watching wounded people come together in a healing fashion of the heart will enjoy.
