Mariah Stewart’s newest novel, Dead Wrong is a voyage into the mind of a killer. Picture this: three criminals are put together to await trial and they begin to discuss who had helped put them in jail and then they trade lists with each criminal taking care of another criminal’s personal problems. A very scary and confusing thought, yet this is the basis for Stewart’s newest trilogy. In Dead Wrong, Mara Douglas is being hunted by one of the aforementioned criminals. Unfortunately, he does not know where she lives so he has torn a page out of a phone book and is killing all the M. Douglases that are listed. In order to protect Mara, FBI agent Aidan Shields moves into her house. While searching for the killer sparks begin to fly between Aidan and Mara.

This is one of the most thrilling books that I have ever read. The basis for the entire series is chilling and yet gripping at the same time. I can hardly wait for the next book to come out to find out what happens to next! Mara and Aidan are compelling characters that pull the reader into their lives and their problems. Aidan is one of those men that we romance readers love, he is a wounded hero that comes out of hiding to help the woman in trouble. However, Mara is not the typical heroine; she is a strong woman that wants a life of her own. The wonderful dichotomy between Mara and Aidan give this thrilling book a little spice. The plot never lets up and has many twists and turns that are unexpected and make this a very exciting read. This book gives the reader a very interesting look into the mind of a killer, yet still manages to retain the romance that we all love. I highly recommend this suspenseful romance.
