Jonah Reis comes back to Moriah’s Landing as an undercover FBI agent to find out about mysterious medical shipments being taken there.

Kat Ridgemount is a local PI. Her mother was murdered there twenty years ago and the killer was now stalking her.

The tension begins from the first chapter. This is a spine chilling romance. The author brings the town with the dubious history of witchcraft and secret scientific experiments to life with chilling clarity. I found the hairs on the back of my neck rising and was glad I lived in a normal place as I read this book. B J Daniels knows how to inject fear and tension into her stories. The characters are good and have backgrounds that are slowly uncovered as the story progresses, giving an added interest to them.

The attraction between the hero and heroine mounts with each chapter and the chemistry between them is very good. Kat has to discover if Jonah has psychic powers or is just very clever. The town is full of supernatural and witchcraft overtures which helps to attract tourists but also helps to add tension and fear that is hard to escape from. A very well written story that kept me hooked from start to finish.
