Continuing her series on The Liarís Club, author Celeste Bradley gives readers a two-in-one treat with, The Charmer. Readers met both main characters in earlier books, and while it may help to understand their backgrounds a bit, it is not necessary to read the previous books in the series to get caught up in this excellent storyline.

Rose Lacey may have been an unassuming, reticent maid when we first met her, but that Rose is gone for good as she has become the first female Liar. Proficient with several weapons and eager to prove herself, Rose competes on equal footing with her fellow trainees, surpassing all but one. It is this competition that lands her in trouble. Rose just cannot back down when challenged by the arrogant Collis Tremayne. Even with one arm disabled, Collis is a force to be reckoned with. When their escapades incite the ire of club founders, they are forced to become a team. Roseís background in service proves invaluable when they are called upon to investigate the son of a notorious traitor.

As the investigation and their relationship heat up, the danger mounts. Rose is unexpectedly vulnerable because of her past, and Collis must remain focused on the end goal. Readers will be caught up in this fast-paced book as they race toward a thrilling conclusion. It seems that each one of these books gets better than the last, and I cannot wait until the next novel is released.
