Destiny Carlton is ready to find herself and sets about to recreate her life. She wants to do more things with her life as she grows older rather than sit back and watch it pass her by. With this in mind she approaches her nephew and asks for a job in the company. Her hidden motive is a man from her past that has become the enemy for the company and she intends to set him back a few paces.
William Harcourt was never ready to fully let Destiny go. Now he has started a corporate war to get her attention and make her come to London. What his plan doesnít account for is how her family will view any type of relationship they have after his attempts to disarm the company.
While I normally can say I love anything Ms Woods writes, and consider myself an avid fan of hers, this story really drug for this reader. The story was sweet and sappy but it lacked any real depth. The couple was attempting to get a second start in their life having sacrificed for their families their relationship eons ago.
Destinyís character was more developed through otherís opinions of her, rather than Destiny herself and William never really had a depth to him. However, any fan of hers will surely pick this one up to try and it is rather different than most of her stories as the couple was not only older but trying to rekindle an old flame.
