Tao Tandy is ready to be somebody. She shook off her tired and safe life, complete with safe fiancé and dead-end job and headed off to make her fortune as a food photographer. The only thing left for Tao to do is to find a place to live. Fate steps in, and she finds rent free living in an awesome mansion in one of London’s best areas. All she has to do is pet sit Sir Galahad, a rare and clever parrot. What could be simpler? Life was looking up for Tao.

Or maybe not. Her job gets complicated when her TV celebrity boss reveals his roaming hands. To top it off, Tao has to deal with his suspicious girlfriend. Throw in Chris, the hunky, nosy gardener who also lives at the dream mansion and Tao is ready to…yep, you guessed it, spit feathers.

Tao didn’t come all the way to the city to let others mess up her plan. She is going to show everyone who is in charge.

Spitting Feathers,, is British author, Kelly Harte’s second novel. She has a wonderfully engaging voice and brings to life a humorous tale of a woman coming into her own. Following Tao in her journey to make a name and life for herself was a truly enjoyable experience I’d recommend. Curl up and laugh out loud with this great book.
