From the moment she sees the Apple Ranch, Stacy knows that she is meant to own it. She plans on renovating it to make it a beautiful house like it once was. But there seems to be secrets that come along with the house. None of her neighbors seem inclined to tell her what they are.

Soon she finds out that she has stolen the house out from under her nearest neighbor. Brand seems to be taking the loss of the house hard. Yet Stacy can’t deny the instant attraction she feels towards him. Brand runs hot and cold on her. One moment he will be friendly, the next he’s colder than ice.

Then the harassment starts. Notes, packages and phone calls begin. Someone wants Stacy out of that house and it begins to look like they will do anything to accomplish their goal. As her attraction to Brand deepens, Stacy begins to worry that he might be the one behind it all. Would Brand do anything to get the house? Or is there someone else who wishes Stacy would leave forever?

A darkly compelling book, On The Edge of the Woods will grab you on the first page and take you on a spiraling ride into doubt and confusion. Along with Stacy, you won’t be sure who to trust and who to allow close. Characters abound to make the story twist and turn. It is well developed and complex. Brand makes for a wonderful hero. He’s handsome and adventurous with a very private inner self. Stacy finds herself in trouble, but manages to come out on top all the time. Her character learns how to trust herself. The overwhelming scenery of the Sierras make a wonderful backdrop for Stacy’s search for answers.
