A darkly compelling book, On The Edge of the Woods will grab you on the first page and take you on a spiraling ride into doubt and confusion. Along with Stacy, you won’t be sure who to trust and who to allow close. Characters abound to make the story twist and turn. It is well developed and complex. Brand makes for a wonderful hero. He’s handsome and adventurous with a very private inner self. Stacy finds herself in trouble, but manages to come out on top all the time. Her character learns how to trust herself. The overwhelming scenery of the Sierras make a wonderful backdrop for Stacy’s search for answers.
