FBI agent, Chase Bracken has been assigned the job of finding accused murderer and rogue agent Jared Romaine, who has been on the run for the past three years. Chase is not above breaking the rules to complete his assignment. Chase sets himself up as the new "football coach" in Cole Harbor, South Carolina. His plan is to get next to Dr Destiny "Dee" Romaine. He is sure that Dee must know where her brother is and will be the one to lead him to Jared. It doesn't hurt that Dee is drop-dead gorgeous and that he feels an instant attraction to her. A man's gotta do what it takes to get the job done and if that means "sleeping with the enemy" then Chase will have to make the sacrifice.
Dr Dee Romaine has come to Cole Harbor, South Carolina under a work program with the government that allows her to work in a small town to repay her student loans. She has lied to everyone since she has been there saying that she has no family. She does have a brother, Jared who is on the run from the FBI for a murder Dee is sure he did not commit. She has stayed pretty much to herself since moving to Cole Harbor in order to protect her brother and not have to tell too many lies. She feels an instant attraction to the new football coach and her upstairs neighbor Chase Bracken. She feels a spark every time she sees the hunk. Maybe it would be alright to let her defenses down and get to know this guy better. After all who could it hurt? And Chase is one HOT guy!
Turn up the A/C and set out the ice-cold tea, you will certainly need some cooling off while reading Sleeping With The Enemy. Jamie Denton has created a story that sizzles from the characters first meeting. This book is what a Blaze title should be - HOT HOT HOT!!! Ms Denton has proven herself a very gifted and talented storyteller once again with Sleeping With The Enemy.
Sleeping With The Enemy can easily be read in one setting and you will be wishing it were longer. But have no fear because there will be a sequel Seduced By The Enemy out in the spring of 2002. I will be in line with a fan in hand waiting for the book to hit the shelves!
