Working in the toy factory, surrounded by toys for all ages and coworkers running around bragging up their children, Toby Morris feels slighty out of the loop. With no real love interest on the horizon, she begins to find herself caught up in a fantasy world.

In this fantasy world, she becomes enchanted by a local weatherman and begins to watch his brief weather report faithfully. As her stunts to catch his attention increase, it seems as if fantasy may meet reality for a brief moment. Or was her true love there all the time?

The main character is quirky, normal and appealing. She has something of eithier ourselves or our best friend in her. The only problem I had at all, was that the entire weather thing seemed a little contrived. I think I outgrew that stage by thirteen or fourteen at least. However, even if she is a late maturer, itís kind of fun to watch her growth in this novel. As she begins giving more of herself to those around her, she undergoes some changes.

The secondary characters; while a little out there, had me in fits sometimes. Kerrinís smart attitude and cheeky comments will have you in fits of giggles. For a debut author, Eugenie Olson does a wonderful job telling the story and I look forward to more of this authorís work. Chick lit fans will not want to miss out on this one!
