Private Pleasures, Bertrice Small’s first contemporary novel is fascinating. It is one of the best erotic novels I have read this year. It has just enough romance to satisfy my greedy little self, is chock full of eroticism, and introduces a contemporary heroine who could easily be anyone’s next-door neighbor. With her trademark savvy, sassy, and sensuality all wrapped up in one seriously beguiling package, Ms. Small has delivered a winner with this one.
