In his search for perfection, a man finds a woman who will bring joy to his heart and sunshine to his world. In her quest for a better future, a woman encounters a man who will keep her safe and make her his world.

Celia Rider knows that her fatherís fortune isnít gone. Sheís trying to find out where itís gone. Hiding in her step-motherís household, she tries to search out the truth. She knows that something isnít right, but she canít figure out what it is.

Brandon Pellidore, Marquis of Hartley, has a few more months to go before he gets his inheritance. Only a few more months before he will be free. He would always have the dark secret from his past haunting him. To occupy his mind until that time, he decides to help Celia with her problem.

Together, Celia and Brandon find what they are looking for and more. Love blossoms, but there is danger lurking for both of them. It seems that someone doesnít want either of them to get their fortunes. As trouble mounts, Celia and Brandon learn to trust in each other.

Brandon is a marvelously tortured soul who tries to live his life to make others happy. Celia is a feisty heroine who doesnít really need anyone to help her. Their relationship is warm and loving. Their willingness to stand by each other in the face of danger is marvelously portrayed. The stepmother wasnít a stereotype and neither were the other secondary characters. The story was well developed and maintained throughout.

Perfection is just that. A perfect story to curl up and read on a cold winterís day.
