Even though she just received a proposal from her boyfriend, Martin, an up and coming politician, thirty-five year old Tanya Kennedy is still not happy. She isnít feeling the glow she always expected to feel when Mr. Right dropped to his knees. Perhaps, she never will. One man destroyed that dream.
Now, that one man, Brandon Ware, is back. Years ago, he ran away from Tanya, and it was the greatest mistake of his life. Heíll do anything to get her back because he knows that even when sheís slapping him, she still canít deny love.
Canít Deny Love is the follow-up romance novel to Doreen Raineyís exceptional Foundation For Love. Like its predecessor, Canít Deny Love/b> has an enthralling story line, which is enhanced by several conflicts, which keep the reader guessing.
My disappointment with this book rested with the characters themselves. I did not really care for Brandon or Tanya. I felt no sympathy for Brandon after he hurt Tanya in such a childish manner and still expected forgiveness. Tanya, herself, went down a step on my esteem meter for even considering allowing him back into her life. This was one of those stories where I wished the woman would have realized that she could have done better by herself.
Nevertheless, Rainey should be commended for the extraordinary skill she used in integrating the characters from her previous novel with this one as well as the manner in which she opened the door for future works. The interactions between all the characters flowed smoothly and helped to make Canít Deny Love an easy read.
