A killer is stalking the streets of Savannah. Robbing cemeteries and placing new bodies into the coffins, the killerís sadistic twist is, he buries them alive. He doesnít plan on stopping until his goal is achieved.

Pierce Reed works as a detective on the Savannah police force. Heís made some mistakes in his life, but heís managed to move on. When he receives a strange letter in the mail, he thinks itís only some prank. Little does he know that that letter is the start of a game that will led him into the dark memories he wants to forget.

Nikki Gillette wants to break a big story. She wants to finally be able to write a crime story that will get her noticed by some big newspaper and get her out of Savannah. When bodies begin to appear in a regular pattern, she starts to connect the dots. Pierce Reed, the mysterious and untouchable detective, is in the middle of the killings. Then she receives her first note. Nikki soon realizes that sheís in the killerís sight as well. Sheíll have to join forces with the rogue cop to bring the killer in.

Tension runs high in the story as the slow build up leads to a climatic ending. The relationship between Pierce and Nikki is hot and has as many twists and turns as the investigation. The story is well written with just enough confusion to keep you guessing as to who the killer is.

The Morning After is a chilling story of retribution and revenge.
