Eleven years ago, the Scots attacked Lady Celesteís home, murdering her parents. For the past eleven years, Celeste and her twin brother, Edmund, have been taken care of by their Uncle Charles, and now grown, they take care of their land. When Edmund is killed during another attack, Celeste becomes Lady of the manor, forced to hide his death or lose her home.

Lord Devon de Grenfeld saved Celeste's life during the attack and her gratitude became the beginnings of love. However, Lord Devon returns to his home to resolve the estragement between him and his dying father. As a result of a deathbed promise made to his father, Devon has requested Edmundís presence only to be denied again and again. Now he must travel to the village he has sworn never to visit again.

Lady Dragon is most definitely my type of historical romance. Celeste is everything a strong and powerful woman can and should be. She is kind to her people and in return is loved and honored by them. Refusing to give up her home and no longer believing in Devon, Celeste has developed an elaborate ruse that can cost her everything if found out. Devon is your typical ruling alpha male. He demands everything to be done his way and people to act as he thinks they should. Due to misunderstandings and headstrong actions these two lovers are constantly at odds with each other. The emotional anguish felt by everyone involved is tangible and heart wrenching. If you like stories about women who are what they are not supposed to be and emotional love, then you most definitely will adore Lady Dragon!
