Code Name: Nanny is the latest offering by Christina Skye. This is the first book in a new series. If you haven’t read a book by Ms. Skye in a while, this is a great one to start reading her stories again and pick up her prior books from your to be read pile. That is exactly what happened to me. After reading Code Name: Nanny I picked up the prior two books. I was not disappointed in any of them.

Summer is an FBI agent based out of Philadelphia but she ends up on an assignment in Carmel, California working for the local district attorney, Cara O’Connor. She is the new nanny in charge of keeping the two daughters safe from the threats that the district attorney has been receiving because of her current case. Cara didn’t want anyone to know of her trouble so that is why Summer was there and posing as the nanny. All Summer does is work, she doesn’t take anytime for herself, but she is very good at what she does. She also doesn’t trust anyone with her professional life or personal life; she has had heartbreaks before and doesn’t let anyone get close to her.

Gabe is also not what he seems to be, just a simple gardener. But he also keeps to himself and doesn’t let anyone close to him and he is always watching out for the girls as well as the new nanny. Gabe is a Navy SEAL and suppose to be on r-and-r, but it hasn’t turned out that way. He is there on a favor from an old friend Senator Winslow. The Senator can tell something is wrong but doesn’t want to worry Cara or anyone else, so Gabe was there and no one knew what he was or did for a living.

From the moment Summer and Gabe met they had sparks flying and a few fantasies after that first meeting. Well it was before the meeting, that really got to Summer. Imagine finding a man taking a shower in your bathroom and you had a perfect view of him. I’d say the fantasies would be starting as well. The sparks never actually went away, they just simmered on the back burner. They each had their own agenda to follow and that was trying to keep the girls’ safe and Cara, as well as find out who was making the threats against their lives. Can they finally work together to try to solve the case and keep anyone from being hurt?

Code Name: Nanny is a fantastic story. Ms. Skye gives us what we are looking for in this story; love, hope, suspense, mystery and intrigue. Once you start reading, you will not want to put the book down as you never know what Summer and Gabe will find themselves mixed up in, not only from the two girls that play havoc with the two of them, but from other sources as well that are trying to hurt the ones that they are sworn to protect, and also from the scrapes they encounter trying to keep everyone safe. Of course we get to see a very recurring figure from some of Ms. Skye’s books, Izzy Teague shows up in this story to help out Gabe.
