After winning the lottery, and getting invited on a special cruise to the Caribbean, what more could a girl ask for? Ashley Kavanagh is excited and ready to spend some time relaxing in the sun. Unfortunately, her fiancée can’t go because he gets seasick. And a mix up in the reservations has her sharing a cabin with none other than her ex husband, Michael Kavanagh.
Michael has been recently dumped by his girlfriend, right when he was beginning to think he might ask her to marry him. When he wins the lottery and books his stay on the cruise he has no idea his ex wife will be sharing his cabin. How thoughtful of his little sister to have arranged this rendezvous.
While Hot Number moves at a fast pace, and give us lots of chuckles, there are some serious issues that Ashley and Michael will have to deal with as well. Why did their marriage fall apart? Can these two find more than sexual chemistry to give the relationship substance?
Both of these characters were great and it was funny how they both kept trying to keep secrets from one another. Such as Michael didn’t want Ashley knowing he’d won the lottery because that meant he’d played some sentimental numbers to her and that he still cared. And there were some wonderful secondary characters that gave this story life. One can’t help but like Bart and Birdie, the older couple that is onboard the ship.
With memorable characters and funny situations,Hot Number is a great read that any fan of contemporary romance won’t want to miss
