The MacKenzie's Zach is a very fast read. Zach is the newest book in The Mackenzie books by Ana Leigh. Ana Leigh is able to draw you into the story and make you feel like you are a part of it. I was glued from page one until I closed the book. This book left me wanting more. Ms. Leigh gave great descriptions of Zach, Rose, and the surrounding scenery.
Their jobs brought them both to the same small town in Texas. Zach is a Texas Ranger and Rose is a Harvey Girl, which is a waitress for a very nice restaurant set up on the railroad for weary travelers. Zach came into the restaurant to eat with a gang he was riding with. One look across the room and it was love at first sight but they did not realize that at the time. Rose was not looking for love; she was looking to get married to a rich man and because of her past she did not trust that easily. Zach was not looking for love just a good time. He soon realized Rose was not like the other girls he has seen before. Rose was independent and could take care of herself. She was willing to risk her life for people she cared about and Zach soon became one of them.
Rose and Zach ended up in several dangerous situations but they come through them caring for each other more. Rose was unsure of his feelings for her after his recovery, not sure if it is pity or if it is really love but found out that it is really is love.
Ana Leigh is able to draw you into the story and make you feel like you are a part of it. There was quite a bit of humor and antics through out the story. Ana Leigh also brings back the rest of the MacKenzies from the previous books and catches you on what has happened to them since then.
