William Allen MacAllister, 44th President of the United States of America is having a tough time lately. He has wrapped himself in the grief and guilt resulting from his wife’s death a year ago, it may be time for Bill to find a woman he can share his life with. He may be the leader of one of the most powerful nations in the world, but he is still just a man who yearns for companionship and love. A bevy of Washington socialites are lining up to replace the late First Lady - or to be first in line when Bill’s mourning period has come to an end.

Foreign Correspondent Cassandra Mercer returns to the U.S. to find she’s been voted the most trusted woman in America and has been offered a job as interim White House Correspondent, for her network ATV; before taking a position as news anchor. Cassie has spent half of her life travelling the globe reporting the news and is looking forward to being on home ground. She soon realizes that her growing attraction to the President is going to be a major distraction, but Cassie is later surprised to notice that the feeling is definitely mutual.

How is a man constantly in the public eye supposed to develop a relationship with the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with? How can he ask her to give up her life for him? Throw in some political dirty dealings and a little blackmail and you have the makings for an exciting read.

This is another keeper, my friends. For those of you who sighed and laughed their way through The American President starring Michael Douglas and Annette Benning, this book is right up your alley. Presidential Liaison is a wonderful, well plotted romantic comedy with strong characterization. I highly recommend this book if you are having a bad day. It will surely put a huge grin on your face.
