I absolutely loved this book! Sabrina Jeffries brings to life a love that is so unpredictable, it's too good to be true.

Miss Sara Willis is a reformer. The stepsister to the Earl of Blackmore, she gets into more trouble than her brother can stand. When he plucks her out of Newgate, where she's trying to gain passage on a convict ship bound for New South Wales, he has had it and lays down the law. Or so he thinks. Sara is twenty three and knows what she wants, and she wants to accompany these women, posing as a teacher, to their new home where these women will be used to marry men they have never seen and live a life that none of them are prepared to live. She will report all of her findings of cruelty and filth to The Ladies' Committee, who will in turn move the government to change laws and protect these women from harm.

Never in a million years did Sara believe that in taking on such a task, pirates would take her ship hostage. What would a bunch of dirty cutthroats want with a shipload of convict women and no fortune in gold or jewels? Well, this bunch of dirty cutthroats wanted exactly that, women - women to marry, and to retire with after their pirating career is over, on their island, Atlantis. When pirate captain Gideon Horn jumps aboard the convict ship and demands that all women, including Sara, be removed to his ship, Sara is outraged. How dare he just take them, he has no right, and she tells him just that. Gideon can't believe that this little slip of a woman has just berated him for taking these women, and wanting to marry them off to his men.

He makes a deal with her, each woman will have one week to decide which man they will marry or he will pick one for them. This includes her. Well, Sara will pick no one. She will never agree to marry a pirate or anyone else she doesn't love. Oh, but that changes when she has time to get to know Gideon and the man behind the fierce pirate fašade he puts on. How can she resist his charm, let alone his beautiful body when hers fairly hums whenever he is near? And Gideon can't seem to resist Sara either, no matter that she's the most stubborn, pigheaded woman he's ever known. He can't help but fall in love with her, but what will he do if she never picks him to marry?

These two are the most stubborn people I have ever met. Pride means everything to them and there is no give and take, that is until one finally bends, and then the sparks really fly. You'll love this story! Sabrina Jeffries brings such life into her characters that you will remember them long after finishing the book. Please read Sara and Gideon's story, you won't be sorry that you did!

Happy reading!
