Sabrina Jeffries is a true talent. Her characters just fly off of the pages right into your heart.

Miss Felicity Taylor's father has died leaving her to care for four younger brothers, and a mountain of debt. In order to survive, Felicity writes a gossip column in a London newspaper, The Evening Gazette, under the name of Lord X. In order to gather her information, she attends parties, musicals, and balls every night. But when she writes gossip about a certain Viscount named Ian St. Clair, she may have gone too far.

When Viscount Ian St. Clair reads a gossip column stating that he's keeping a mistress, he flies into a rage. If this Lord X doesn't stop spreading false gossip about him, he'll never land a bride, and he needs to do so; desperately, before the year is out. And when his fiancÚ read this bit of news, she breaks off the engagement and elopes with another man. That's the last straw! Ian sets out to find Lord X and vows to destroy him at all costs.

Ian finds where Lord X lives and confronts him, only to discover that Lord X isn't a 'Lord', but a 'Miss'; and a beautiful Miss at that. How can someone who seems so intelligent and innocent, able to spread such lies and half-truths? When he demands that Felicity stop spreading lying gossip, or he'll expose her true identity to the ton, she sees red. How dare he condescend to her when she only reports the truth? Felicity agrees to stop writing about him, but only if he tells her the truth about all of the other rumors surrounding him and his shady past. When he refuses, a battle of wills begins and they set off some pretty exciting fireworks! As she digs deeply into his past, he sets out to force her into becoming his bride. After all, it was her gossip column that had cost him a bride; she should pay the consequences. Or so he thinks, until he starts to fall in love with her, then things get really complicated.

This is another great story by Ms. Jeffries. Every character is so well written, that the reader can truly identify with each one. The love scenes are so sexy and very steamy, that you won't want to put the book down. I would definitely recommend reading this book - you won't be sorry!
