Claire Richards was feeling either very confident or very desperate when she quit her beautician’s job to enter the “Survive and Drive” contest at the mall. How hard can it be to beat out the other twenty desperate contestants who want to drive away in the forty-five foot traveling home? Once she is behind the wheel, she can finally meet the father she never knew and start her life anew.

Claire has no idea that her childhood nemesis Mark Dole also sees the contest as an answer to his prayers. All he has to do is wait for the other contestants to get tired of their cramped quarters and he’ll be able to drive to the nearest dealership and collect some big dollars from the sale of the recreational vehicle and get his brothers business back off the ground.

However as the days drag on, so do several of the contestants, Mark comes up with a plan where he and Claire can walk away winners. Make sure you have an hour or two to snuggle up with this charming romance and watch the sparks fly between Claire and Mark and the other eighteen contestants who are all sure they can be the last one standing when the wheels start to roll.

I’m not a huge reader of the small series romances but this book had me hooked from the first page. Ms. Jump did an excellent job with this charming “Survivor” type story. You’ll forget all about the chilly weather outside as you laugh your way through the contestants antics and be warmed to the bone by the romance that blooms between Claire and Mark.
