Dayan, lead guitarist for the Dark Troubadours, has travelled the globe performing with his family and searching for the other half of his soul. The longer a Carpathian man goes without finding his mate the more dangerous he becomes. He has waited a thousand years for the other half of his soul to appear. Time is running out for this mesmerizing musician. The tight reins of control he holds on the beast inside of him are slipping. It is only when he is on stage playing his music that he can find some small respite from the struggle. Every night he calls out to her, his love, his lifemate, to save him and return him to the light and colour of an emotional existence. Dayan’s captivating voice and mesmerizing stage presence has made him a celebrity but they have also made him a target. Dayan’s wait is about to come to an end… or is it?

Telekinetic Corinne Wentworth is living on borrowed time. The same fanatical group who murdered her husband is pursuing her. Her delicate appearance belies the great strength of her will to live but even she must concede to a stronger relentless force. She loves life and revels in all that makes living worthwhile but her heart is failing. She is willing to risk everything to keep a secret that may cost her her life. Corinne’s life changes the night she and a friend find themselves at the bar where Dayan has decided to join the local band on stage. Dayan captivates Corinne she is drawn to him — and even more so by the message she hears within his song. But Corinne is reluctant to get involved with the powerful musician when she has so little time left. Will she surrender her heart to Dayan in time to save them both?

This is not your usual Carpathian story. Ms. Feehan has penned a beautiful, heart-warming story of an epic love. I mean an epic love in the classic sense of a love that survives perilous trials merely on the strength of the couple’s faith in each other. Precious few authors write this type of love story anymore and I am very glad to have had the opportunity to enjoy this well crafted romance whose cast of characters were a joy to meet.
