It is CC`s 25th birthday and she finds herself alone. Ever since she joined the Air Force seven years ago her parents never failed in sending her a "birthday box"...but this year even they forgot. As she pops open a bottle of champagne, she reflects on her life. A little bit tipsy from the champagne, she finds an old tome titled "The Matriarchal Era-Myth and Legend" that she had kept from her college years. Deciding that she needs a change and some magic in her life, she performs a ritual in honor of the Goddess Gaea. That night an exotic man beckons to her in her dreams. The last thing that CC ever expected was for a symbolic ritual to be the beginning of the adventure of her life.

As CC soon learns, being a creature of magic is not as simple and free of complications as it may be commonly believed. Furthermore, she is forced to make some decisions that under ordinary circumstances would have been complex to deal with...but under extraordinary ones it is even worse. However, one thing makes it worth her while, she finds her one true love and soul mate.

Goddess of the Sea<.b? is P.C. Cast`s second offering of her Goddess series, as yet a third title is introduced at the ending of this book. Goddess of the Sea is a beautifully told story of love and magic, laced with humor and emotion. The plot is fast paced, bearing compelling characters, with a hero willing to wait forever for the woman he loves and a heroine who is strong and intelligent. The tale is emotionally charged as well, but not overwhelmingly so, just enough to engage the reader into a wondrous world. This book will surely delight all romance lovers.
