Back to Angel Island and another wonderful story. This time Katherine Spencer continues the series she and Thomas Kinkade started. I was so saddened to hear that Mr. Kinkade passed away, I will miss his paintings, and also his heartwarming books he has helped write to bring so much enjoyment to both his and Katherine’s readers.
In The Way Home, Claire North and Avery Bishop both have new adventures. Claire has an unexpected visit from an old friend, and Avery is now single and trying to start out again on her own. We follow the struggles, disappointments, and good times of both of these ladies in this new book.
As always, I enjoyed meeting the old friends again from the first three books in the Angel Island series, as well as new friends introduced to us. As life on the island goes on, new and exciting things pop up to make this story more interesting. When I started reading The Way Home, I had difficulty putting it down, because I wanted to see what was happening next in the lives of the people I have grown to love at Angel Island.
I sure hope Katherine Spencer decides to continue to carry on the writing she and Thomas Kinkade started many years ago. I love all of their books, as well as this first on my Ms. Spencer.
